Student Terms of Use
LEARN-CO.DE LTD ("learn-co.de", "we", "us", "our")
Version 1.0 — Effective 22 June 2026
These are the simple rules for students using learn-co.de. They sit alongside our full Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy, which is the proper legal version. Your school has agreed to those on your behalf.
Using learn-co.de
learn-co.de is a tool for learning computer science at school. Please use it for your schoolwork, and use it sensibly and kindly.
Your account is yours
- Your account is for you only. Don't share it, and don't use anyone else's.
- You set your own password using a link we email to your school address, so even teachers do not know your password. Keep it private — if someone finds out your password, tell your teacher so it can be changed.
- Everything done on your account is treated as done by you, so look after it.
Be kind and sensible
When you type answers or write code (including comments inside your code), please don't write anything that is:
- rude, mean, bullying, or aimed at hurting another person;
- rude or grown-up content that wouldn't be okay at school;
- about hurting yourself or anyone else;
- breaking the law, or copying someone else's work and pretending it's yours.
Your teachers can see what you write, and your school may look at it as part of normal school rules — so treat it like any other piece of schoolwork.
Don't try to break things
Please don't try to:
- get into other people's accounts, other classes, or other schools' information;
- get around limits or security in the app;
- upload anything harmful, like viruses or code meant to damage the system.
What happens if the rules are broken
If something inappropriate or unsafe happens, we may remove the content or pause an account, and we will tell your school. Your school deals with behaviour and safety using its own school rules and its safeguarding team.
Worried about something?
If something upsets you, doesn't look right, or you're worried about another student, tell a teacher or a trusted adult at your school. Your school is the right place to help.
